Faithlife Church is an incorporated association, containing a management team and church members. Management governs the financial decisions and hosts our church members Annual General Meeting.
Faithlife Church has a different approach to leadership. Faithlife’s leadership structure (inspired by the scripture illustrated in Matthew 7) resembles a tree with a strong root system, healthy trunk and branches, and good fruit. The root system represents the five-fold ministry team, which is comprised of five unique ministry gifts or “graces”. These include Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Pastors and Evangelists. Our five-fold ministry team relentlessly serve behind the scenes. As stated in Ephesians 4:11-13, the five-fold “graces” are purposed for the nourishing of the whole church. They equip the Faithlife community for the work for ministry. In addition, they provide spiritual direction and oversight as the church grows and develops. Just as the root system abides in good soil, so does the five-fold ministry team abide in Christ through a lifestyle of prayer and dedication to studying the scriptures. Continuing this metaphor, the trunk and branches represent our other church leaders who facilitate a specific ministry area. As the root system perpetually draws from the endless streams of living water, it offers nourishment to the trunk and branches. Our church members and attendees are the fruit. The fruit benefit from the overall health of the tree. Good fruit is the natural result of good soil (Jesus) and a leadership team dedicated to abiding in good soil!
